Lots of kiddies watch obnoxious YouTubers now, and there are many videos of YouTubers either trolling group games, or discussing war groups negatively or just pure out hating on them. Since you can no longer filter games by their genres, it is quite hard to find these forts or training places without scrolling way down. Most of the forts and training places are set to similar genres, such as 'Military'. To actually find forts or training places, you have to scroll all the way down, which most users just won't do. Now, groups simply don't have the funds to compete with the game devs with all these high paid ads. Years ago there weren't so many game developers, and there weren't so many ads. We can also assume that the majority of the groups are poor or have some wealth, but are definitely not 'rich'. We can assume that most of the high paid ads are from popular games. There was of course active advertising too. This is all indirect, passive advertising. Or if somebody posted some news about their group, like how they are introducing the new Anthro into their games, then maybe you would join their group. If someone talked about how they beat this or that clan, you would then check out their group and maybe join them too. You can see that almost anything said in the group forums was passive advertisement. Groups can no longer discuss with each other in a united neutral place. I think there are several reasons, but mostly because they are hard to look for, and also to find. Our subreddit's suggested list of places you should visit. Submissions that do not fit within the above threads can be posted by themselves.
